TTWOW Wants You to Meet Our First Blogger, Susan Rademaker

We have been honored to meet the woman who will be our first blogger, Susan Rademaker and now to introduce her to all of you. She is an amazing warrior for the gospel and a survivor of much suffering that I know many of you will relate to. I am posting her bio below so that you can get a feel for who she is. Watch in the coming weeks as we post articles written by her that will lift you up and encourage you as you navigate through the coming holiday season, which many who have experienced a loss, may find difficult to endure. Peace be with your spirit!

Who is Susan Rademaker?

I am a woman of God, a wife, a mother, and an HR manager.  I always succeed in keeping those priorities in that exact order, 100% of the time and I love humor (did you catch that?).

I am a 40 year old mother of three.  I am the wife of my very best friend (almost 10 years of marriage).

I am an imperfect person, just like you; quite possibly much worse!

I am broken-hearted.

I am sometimes bitter.

Until I remember, that I am a very small part of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12).  I have found and continue to grow a faith in God that has gotten me through infertility treatments, a twin pregnancy with all the complications that come with a twin pregnancy and a teenage son (who is thankfully now 21 and much less rebellious).  My faith got me through the birth of twins, one of which was born with half of a heart (but more heart than us all).  We survived multiple heart surgeries, stomach surgeries, and multiple hospitalizations.  My faith was there when my husband and I made the heart-wrenching decision to stop the medication that was barely keeping our precious son alive.

God was with us when we said good-bye.  God was with Chance James Rademaker, welcoming him into His Kingdom.

God put His people in our lives to hold us up when we fell down.

God is still with us, almost five years later, as we continue to raise Chance’s twin sister, Taylor.

Who am I?

I am a woman who found peace in my heart that only Jesus Christ can bring (Isaiah 9:6).  I am a woman with a passion to share this peace with you.  Maybe you know Jesus.  Maybe you don’t.  Either way, let’s be friends.  Maybe you have struggled in your life and can find comfort in simply knowing that You. Are. Not. Alone.

With love, Susan
